BALI Remembers

On April 22, 1974, all 107 passengers on board Pan Am 812 flying from Hong Kong to Sydney, Australia with an intermediate stop at Denpasar, Bali crashed into the hills of northern Bali near the village of Tinga-Tinga.

On the 40th anniversary of that tragedy, a special commemoration ceremony is planned on April 22, 2014 at the PanAm Memorial, located behind Taman Festival at Kompleks Pura Campuhan Windu Segara, Padang Galak, Kesiman, Sanur, Bali. Starting at 3:45 pm, a moving program of music and inter-faith prayers is planned ending at approximately 5:00 pm.

Among the highlights of the afternoon will be an opening song “To Where You Are” made famous by Josh Groban and sung in Bali by the lead vocalist with the internationally acclaimed acapella singing group Jamaica Café Indonesia, Prihartono Anton Mirzaputra.
